Has anyone had a problem with their bean vines being, well, overly
aggressive? My beans are on trellises adjacent to my shelling peas. They
have totally covered the trellis and have been shooting out vines towards
the peas and in some cases have entwined the pea plants and dragged them
over. It doesn't look particularly healthy for the pea plants. As a newbie
gardener, I was not expecting this. What do I do with those errant vines?
Should I trim them off, or just untangle them and try to send them in
another direction? The peas are almost done for the summer so it will be a
moot point before too long. They are covered with pea pods and seem to be
having trouble standing up even without the interference from the bean
vines.
