The same subjects have come up because this, like most lists, is a
continuing discussion. The same subject or thread continues until there is
nothing else left to add. Often answers are a matter of opinion not
absolute fact, so different people put different points of view.
As with all lists, it pays to "lurk" for a while just reading, to see how
the list works, what sort of questions are asked and how they are answered.
That way you get a feeling for the list and the way it runs, you get to
know the regular contributors.
But that doesn't mean you can't start a new subject at any time.
If you want to ask a question. Ask it. It will start a new thread which,
depending on the subject matter may go on for several days, or get answered
easily in one return posting.
