Re: big worms


Peaceful Valley has a control for grasshoppers. It is a Predaceous protozoa
"Nosema locustae"
It is effective when hoppers are young and small.  
I  use chemicals when absolutely necessary. and can not imagine doing
without "Roundup" for weeds in our orchards. So go for it if you need to.
Just be sure to read the label. The label is the law in California.
Malathion is a synthetically produced chemical used  in gardens and very
small farms.   Because these chemicals contain carbon and hydrogen in their
basic structure they are known  as "synthetic organic" chemicals.
Don't know if that makes it okay or not.
