Don't know about a FAQ but there is an archive at
http://www.mallorn.com/lists/veggies/ that kinda works like a FAQ if you
sort by thread (assuming the subject line is descriptive).

Here in Glendale AZ (between Sun City and Phoenix, geographically and
gerontologically), we can garden all year but it is slow in summer. Mostly
over by July 1st but still get a few tomatoes if adequately irrigated shaded
and some people also grow okra. Peppers and eggplant are being kept alive
until fall for a 2nd crop which is usually better than spring. Winter
squash and second crop of stringbeans and summer squash will be planted
later this week and 2nd sweetcorn crop by the end of the month. Our cool
season veggies (edible leaves, edible roots, cabbage types) are planted from
seed beginning in late September and some from transplants after that.
Onions & Garlic in October-November.
