Janet,
Every year for the past 3 years, I've been trying my hand at growing
watermelon, using seeds that were saved from hybrid melons and I've had
good results. I think the thing to remember when planting seeds from a
hybrid plant is don't expect to get the same exact type fruits you got
from the original plant. There will usually be inconsistencies (you may
see 2 or 3 different kinds of watermelon growing in your patch) but that
doesn't mean your melons won't taste great.
