All this talk of tomatoes has moved me to write that here in so. calif, I am
still picking a few tomatoes from the yard. They are very firm, and not as
sweet as summer of course, but much better than store tomatoes. I hope to
have some for Christmas dinner this year.
My peas, broc, beets, and lettuce are excellent as well as the other greens,
tho extremely high winds did significantly damage some of my more exposed
green peas. Things are growing very slowly right now, however, and all new
seeds must be started in containers because of the cool damp soil.
Janet.
