Best method we had to rid us of moles is using large metal
scissor-type mole traps (they are not sharp like scissors, but the
bars do crush the pests). The "secret" is; never touch the trap with
human hands, always use the metal tools to open and set them up.
Also set them in fresh tunnels, re-bury with soft dirt, and cover
with an inverted bucket, so they are caught as they run by. They
require no bait and we found them at several of our feed stores.
Watch your dogs; ours didn't bother them but you could add several
bricks on top the buckets to help keep the dogs out.
