Hi all,
Two nights ago I had my first frost in 7 years. It was light and the only
thing slightly damaged was one tomatoe plant. Just afew of the upper leaves
were zapped. I picked about a dozen undamaged, but not very sweet tomatoes
on Christmas day.
I marinated them about 4 hours cut in wedges in some oil with balsamic
vinegar, ample sliced onions and garlic, with Italian seasonings and a dash
of sugar and salt. They were excellent. I used the marinade as the lettuce
dressing. I spread the tomatoes over the dressed tossed lettuce with some
freshly made croutons. It was both beautiful and good.
I also got my first seed catalog about a week ago. I can hardly wait for the
others to arrive.
