RE: trellis

I "slung" my gourds last year. We had planted them below a 4 foot hurricane
fence, and trained them up and along the fence. It worked great, but I was
afraid the large gourds would tear loose from the weight. I went to the
local fabric store and purchased a yard of nylon netting for next to
nothing. Used this to tie "slings" into the fence, supporting each gourd.
The nylon held up well to the weather, and since it was netting, it stayed
dry, so I didn't have to worry about rot.
