Janet writes: Hi all, I have two well-fed cats who are fenced into the
garden to keep them from being coyote appetizers. The cats -- tyrone and
luciano -- seem to be mostly decorative.

Since the mice seem to be now eating all varieties of peas I am planting
except for the snow peas which are picked young, from now on I am going to
plant them thinner and stake more carefully so there will be no masses of
plants formed. Then maybe if the cats are interested in the mice, they wont
have to work as hard to find them. If this doesnt help, I will then
investigate the various kinds of deterent plants mentioned above.

Thank you for the suggestions, janet.
