Hi, Frank.
You could try rubbish bins; I think they're about 3 feet tall. They're
rather large though, would be heavy to move when filled with soil and are
probably not cheap but, with a few holes drilled through the base, they
might be suitable. I'm thinking particularly of the plastic variety, as the
metal ones will rust unless treated. You may be able to pick up some old
ones from the local dump; some people throw them out when the handles break
or even when the lid is broken or lost and so the bins could still be used
for this purpose.
Could you also consider normal sized containers that are raised, say on some
sort of a platform about 2 foot high or even have each container sit on a
number of bricks? Food for thought.
