Our dogs keep the deer clear away from our home, and the 500 acre
forest behind us is full of them. We did have 6 young bull elk just
out our back door last fall. Even our most aggressive dog was a
snarling and biting at their feet and it hardly budge them. Lucky for
us they didn't come up on my garden side and eat any of my 100 roses,
which is fenced in from my sheep.
Our closest neighbor, with no dogs, sets out 1/2 his strawberries and
fruit trees for the deer, and the other 1/2 just out his back door.
Guess it helps, but occasionally the dear like to eat both ''their
own'' and ''his''.
Sincerely,
~Carleen~
