The standard wisdom is to slit the vines open lengthways with a razor
blade or sharp knife and dig the little *!@*@!s out. This sounds
drastic, but It worked this year for zuchinni.
I've been having troubles with an angular looking 1/2 to 3/4 inch long
bug that lays tiny gold colored eggs on the underside of Squash and
Pumpkin. I've been trying to stay ahead of them by scraping the eggs
off off manually before they hatch and hunting down the adults, who I
usually catch in the act of mating. They're quite prolific. Anyone
know what these little guys are?
