Re: Swiss Chard Vitamins?

I have so much swiss chard! It is large and beautiful!

I made the mistake of eating some around 8:30 pm, and at 3:00 am in the
morning I was still walking around wide awake. Of course it was a full
moon night too, and I just wonder if I should eat it any more in the
evenings. It has always made me feel like I was walking 2 feet off the
ground.

Has anyone else experienced this with chard? Maybe I really need the
vitamins that it contains. I love it, and hope everyone else does to.

The gardens are looking wonderful here in the foothills of Northern CA.
The tomatoes are not red yet. Waiting patiently. The corn has another week
to go. Green beans have been picked and eaten with relish. Same for summer
squashes. Still waiting for cukes. Bell peppers are being very stubborn.

Winter squash is coming on strong. Our season here really only begins in
June. Of course we all get spring fever in April and May, and so everything
seems to take forever. But it's wonderful to watch how beautiful the
gardens can be, and how generous Mother Nature is to us all.

Be sure and share with the elderly and the children. They love our veggies
too.
Please don't stop the veggie list. It is fun to read about everyone's
adventures in the soil.

Have fun all, bye for now, Gloria
