Sherry,
You normally wait until the rapini has a flower bud but harvest it before
the bud opens. You'll get quite a few harvests from one plant so don't throw
it out.
I've not grown yellow Swiss chard on its own but have had in it the Bright
Lights mix. It's quite stunning.
