How big do Moskvich fruits get? I had my first ripe tomato Tuesday, a
Moskvich, but it was only large cherry tomato size. The plant has tons
of
flowers but only a few clusters of fruit so far. I'm growing it in a
container and had to move the container slightly last week to tuck
weedblock
paper under the edge & maybe disturbed some roots that came thru the
bottom,
don't know if this had anything to do with it or if the distributor I
got
the seeds from mixed them up, I'm sure I didn't mix them up as I use a
pretty elaborate numbering system to keep track of everything. I thought
it
should have large fruits.
I also have 1 Glacier plant that is potato leaved though all the other
Glaciers I started are standard leaves; don't know if this
vendor(different
vendor) mixed the seeds up (bought them on ebay.) The other Glaciers I
gave
away & kept just this one. It was described as having various size
fruits
from 1-1/2 to 3 inches by the vendor; it may be my first larger tomato
to
ripen, should be ready in a couple days. It's weird because the fruits
are
in a straight cluster like cherry tomatoes, but the first fruits are
about
2-1/2 to 3" and they get smaller as they reach the end of the cluster.
Also, right next to my Moskvich I have 2 Stupices, (same soil mix,
container
size, etc) and the only difference between the 2 is one has a small
diameter
stake and the other has a 59 cent tomato cage (3 ring.) The caged one
has
most of the new growth crinkled up, sort of small leaves compared to the
larger lower potato leaves, almost look like stunted or
zigzag/"S"-shaped
leaves.

The other plant doesn't have this problem and the potato leaves are
"normal." Ever have this happen or know what it is? I have 1 or 2 other
varieties with potato leaves that don't have this problem.
The Stupice2.JPG link is a good link but doesn't show up in my directory
index, but you can look at most of the other pics by deleting the
"Stupice2.JPG" from the URL/address, or going to the link in my
signature at
the end. The container Tomato plants pics also can only be seen by
directly
entering at

rTom
atoes.JPG or entering "062001-ContainerTomatoes.JPG" from the directory
index (after the last slash in the address bar--without the quotes. )
Sorry for cross-posting--I'm posting to the newsgroups & the lists.
Thanks. Mark
