My take on growing cauliflower is that none of them _need_ wrapping.
Isn't it true that bleaching is strictly an esthetic consideration?
It seems odd to me that we would go out of our way to grow "green"
varieties, and then go to the effort of wrapping the white ones. I
just let them go, and harvest them when they're ready. (Unfortunately,
I've never been very successful at growing cauliflower - I never get
them planted early enough in the spring for a summer crop, and the
fall and over-winter crop turns to mush and/or gets eaten by the aphids
before we get a chance at it.)

So... Does wrapping accomplish anything besides making the CF white?
