Great book on storing food WAS String Beans over??

Well, the only way I can think of to add to Bill's list is with a book
recommendation--in my years as a homestead gardener and hunter/gatherer in
Alaska, this volume was never far away. It's called *Putting Food By*--it
covers EVERYTHING!

Here's a mini-review I've clipped from the vegetable garden book page at
<http://vegetablegarden.miningco.com/msubbook.htm>
on my Web site. Or you can order directly from Amazon.com at this
URL--<http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=0452268990/miningco970301aA/>
(I have no association with this book or its authors, but I am an Amazon
affiliated bookseller, and will get some credit on my account if you use
this specific URL to order this book. You can also use the ISBN number
0452268990 and most any bookseller can order it for you. Amazon is now
charging $11.16 for the paperback edition + shipping charges.)
