Hmmmm, Interesting question. I too have some tomatoes with scallions between
them. I planted them together to save space. And those tomatoes are not
doing that well. I too have sprayed them with extra foliar nutrients, and
while that helped mine a little, they are not doing as well as the tomatoes
planted with the lettuce in between. I thought that was because they were
different varieties. Maybe its just a coincidence.
