I have not seen leek seedlings for sale here. They probably are available
though. But seed is easy to sow and much cheaper.
I don't like buying in plants for the vegetable garden as I don't know what
else I am buying in the form of P & D.
In this part of the world, SE England, I start them off in late February or
early March under glass. They are ready to plant out just as the first
early new potatoes are cleared. The soil is soft and  workable so the holes
are easy to make.
