Lorraine, thanks for making an excellent point. I live on a ranch where we
also grow wheat, and we don't spend thousands of dollars per year to have
our crop sprayed once in the spring with an airplane just for the fun of
it. We get 1930's prices for that wheat...and you sure don't pay 1930's
prices for bread or cereal at the supermarket, do you? Not to get on a
rant, but family farmers work on a slim-to-none profit margin, and can't
afford indescriminate pesticide use. Also, they are not about to destroy
the very thing that they love most---the land.
