Dawndoll2:
I went on the net and researched beetles - next time you have a few minutes
search under the heading of squash beetles. Several sites have pix. I tried
to find one that matched what you described and only found the cucumber beetle,
a know pest for cucubits and squashes. It has a black head, orange body, and
black stripes running from the head area to the tip. There where others
mentioned but you need to look see.
