RE: Unidentified subject!/Yukon Gold

Bill,
I am so paranoid about these stupid taters that I'm afraid to touch
anything until I'm sure there are tubers down there. (Haven't been
successful in the past trying to grow in containers) That's why I was
asking about days to maturity. Do you think it's time?

Thanks,
Beth (MD zone 7)

Heck, Beth, I'd dig a couple of hills up and see what's down there *G*
New potatoes are the finest kind anyway...We plant on top of the ground
under thick straw, the plants are still green, but I just pulled off some
tennis ball sized spuds for supper tonite--cooked with fresh peas in butter.
And the itty-bitty ones that are left can hopefully get bigger. These are
Yukon Gold too--seems to be the choice of a lot of people this year.
