Nesa,
If you only have 3 plants and you want to harvest some to save for seed, it
doesn't leave you with much to eat. First, check to make sure your corn seed
is not an F1 hybrid. If it's an open-pollinated variety, you really have to
wait until the whole plant turns brown & dries before you can harvest corn
seed that is mature & dry enough to store & use again next year.
You might want to just leave one plant for seed and harvest baby corn from
the other 2. Again, not much of a harvest. To ensure that the plant you save
seed from is properly pollinated, break of the tassles from the top of the
plant and shake the pollen over the silks coming out of the ears.
