I was planning to go out and scratch 5-10 -5 into the soil all around the
tree. Is this ok? I wanted to do it a while ago, but it has been raining
every time I want to go and do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also going to cut
off 3 small branches at he top of the tree which seem to be exuding a jelly
like substance. I don't know if a bug got in or if they were somehow
damaged. Today, the 1st full day of spring, we got SNOW! Not a lot, but
some, anyway. This is the screwiest weather I've seen! Lauren, Z6 NY
