animal patrol

Hello All,

   So here I am, chomping at the bit to go dig up some dirt and plant my 
lil' seedlings. Every day I run out to the designated plot and picture 
where I'll plant what and imagine how beautiful it will be. I fully 
expected to be out there already, but this crazy weather...   

   On the other hand, I've been trying to find the best means of rabbit 
and deer deterents. I want to be as friendly/ organic as possible. So I 
thought I'd sink some chicken wire about 2" down and then some sort of 
fence. Maybe tie some flourescent tape or whatever onto it to startle the 
deer away. We've got a good two dozen running around our woods and are 
forever losing our rose buds as well as vegetable buds. Any thoughts or 
comments?
