Re: Let Ground Rest

hi fellow gardener!

although it is still cold, if i were you i would be putting all of my
kitchen scraps on that little piece of ground. make some green
mulch...take your kitchen scraps and put them in a blender with some
water and blend away until the mixture is fairly smooth. pour it all
over that piece of ground. if you live near any stables they are
usually happy to get rid of a pick-up truck load of manure that you can
add to your ground and plow or till under when the ground warms up a
little. then this spring plant some rye or something comparable. plow
it under next year and your piece of ground is ready for flowers or
vegetables.

sincerely,

Good Morning:

I have a small plot ( about the size of a sofa) that I would like to let
rest for a year. What can I add to it to make it a better garden spot. It is
still cold here now.
