That should be indeterminate
in meaning not, determinate referring to the growths coming to an
automatic stop. In most peoples language (in-...)this is the vine or
cordon. Similarly determinate is what is referred to as a bush variety,
but to make things worse Thompson and Morgan differentiate between
determinate and bush. They say determinate MAY stop growing but you can
train the sideshoots up. up All that is fine except you get the odd
plant that can't make up its mind which it is.
