I'm not sure if Nature's Black Gold is just plain compost or if it's worm
castings. Either way, you'll want to combine high carbon "brown"
ingredients like shredded newspaper, dried leaves, straw etc. with high
nitrogen ingredients "green ingredients" like kitchen scraps, fresh grass
cuttings, weeds etc. Try to combine them so that the pile is not too dry
and not too wet, just right...
Layering helps as does adding a bit of soil to introduce microbes and worms
to help break everything down.
It would help to know what kind of ingredients you have access to in order
to give you better recommendation as to ratios of brown to green.
