Re: Stunted corn

Hi Nesa!
It has been so quiet here.  We've gotten some late rain and its still a bit chilly (not that it really ever warms up like the inland).  Is everything in the garden holding up to the heat?  I've got my three Rainbow Incas (corn) in a large container on the south side of the house so they can keep warm and have been feeding them fish emulsion.  They have really been really thirsty compared to the other containers.  The garden boxes in the back are starting to look like something is in there ;)  The peas, radish, carrots have all popped up.  I'm even trying scarlet runner beans (again) and these are looking well.  I got excited/in a hurry and forgot to put down plastic mulch when I planted pumpkins.  They are up now but I will try to lay strips down after the wind dies down (hopefully soon!!)

Subject: Stunted corn

Hello, how are you guys and gals? I guess you must have your gardens up and growing. here in Singapore its been rather hot and dry and I am having a problem with my corn- Country Gentleman. Most of my plants are stunted- flowering at 2 ft. Is it likely that they will fruit? I planted them on ground fed with compost but it doesnt seem to have helped.
