If you leave the water run long enough it will!
But I try to plant things in 'double rows' instead. Two rows close together
with the hose run between, then a wide path, the 2 more rows close
together, etc. Most of my double rows have anywhere from 6 - 12
inches between them.With plants like tomatoes and peppers I plant the
rows closer than normal (more than 12" of course) but stagger the
plants in each row.
