There is a method that I use in growing lettuce that I always assumed
everyone knew about until I mentioned it to a gardener who had never
tried it. Instead of pulling my lettuce, I cut it leaving about an inch
of the stem. Usually the lettuce will re-grow from this stem and give me
another crop or more. Right now I have Red Fire, Buttercrunch, and
Oakleaf that are producing another crop for me! Does anyone else have
any shortcuts for other vegies?
