Hello!
Now that leaves on the oak tree are nearly the size of a squirrel's ear, it is
time for me to think about planting sweet corn. I would like to plant both an
early variety and a late variety in the same 30 x 40' garden. The questions I
have are:
What is the smallest block of corn I can plant and still get a good
ear set? A few years ago, I planted 5 15' rows and got way too much sweet corn
all at once. I was wondering if I could plant it in 8 x 8' block.
If I do choose an early variety and a late variety, can I plant these blocks of
corn side by side? Or should I separate them?
Finally, can anyone recommend some varieties? I really like "butter and sugar"
corn. TIA
