My biggest problem used to be deer. (Well, my second biggest problem)
I used
a 6 foot electric fence all around the garden.
Twice, deer have jumped it last year. This
year I am making extensions to the posts and
putting a dead wire up at the new 7ft mark.
(the dear shouldn't know that the top wire
is not electrified) (I hope).
Anyway, my bottom wire is about 1 inch off the
ground, (which is covered about 2ft wide with
carpeting). It has kept out all the bunnies and
squirrels and cats and dogs and everything else.
They don't even try to burrow through the carpeting.
