I would set the plants out in a location that gets morning or late afternoon
sun, but not mid-day sun. Then try to adjust their location so that they get
a little more sun each day. Make sure that you water them well.
If you see any white patches on the leaves, the plants are getting
sun-burned. I manage to allow this to happen every year, so consider the
source of this advice.
