Hi all,
I was sitting on the deck Sat evening just before a storm and noticed a big
black cloud of insects swirling about. Got a closer look- honeybees!! They
landed on my 4 foot cypress bush, forming a football size mound. Storm came,
they hung in. Sun morning, took a ride down to a local beekeeper- he was
excited, but by the time we got back, they were gone. He mentioned that
there was a couple beekeepers in my neighborhood, so they probably weren't
wild. I did get a pint of honey for my failed good deed. I wonder if they
settled in the woods next to my house? I know they would have had a better
chance in captivity, but I'll provide the veggie blossoms for 'em.
