Nan,
You asked about Japanese tomatoes not too long ago.
Last time I was at the (Carlsbad) farmers market there was a fellow
selling japanese tomatoes. The sign he had on them was 'Momotaro.'
They are not as acidic as most tomatoes and the skin color is a cool
red, not the usual warm red.
Several years ago my Master Gardener group did tomato trials and we had
an heirloom with similar color and flavor but I don't remember the name
offhand. Possibly an Amish tomato.
