I am curious if anyone grew anything that was new to them, either vegetable
or variety, and how it turned out? Was is worth it and will you do it again?

I grew dill for the first time this spring. I grew it mainly to attract
benificial insects but also because my youngest daughter loves dill potatoes.
We harvested some for drying, and left some in the garden to flower. It
attracted swarms of insects including swallowtail butterflies. One plant that
swallowtails love more than dill is carrots. One catapillar could easily kill
a small carrot in a day if left to it. I spent all summer picking catapillars
and extremely tiny eggs off of my carrots. When I got really tired of that, I
made a fool out of myself by trying to chase that @#%* butterfly away.
I also grew Arian (yellow sweet bell) peppers for the first time. Big healthy
plants that produce a lot of fruit. I'll definately grow these again.
