Re: my garden here in Pudsey
The avocado belt, what!! I live in a microclimate, Janet, its called
the rain belt!! This month I have had 128mm of rain on my patch!! In
July I had 3mm of rain!! I was out every day with my hosepipe,
keeping my veggies well watered. And it worked, I have had an
excellent harvest this year. Plenty for every one. Soon I will clear
up and revigorate the soil with leaf mould, compost and well rotted
manure. My poly tunnel needs some repair, then I will plant some
lettuce, peas, beans and potatoes. This will be a first, so I am
looking forward to it. The rest of the garden I will put to sleep
until next Spring. My big job over the winter will be to reorganise
my shed. I am really looking forward to this, as its getting a little
full of rubbish.
I was hoping it would be dry this w/e, but as I type it is raining
yet again!! So it looks like a quite time in the shed listening to
sport on my wireless. I also have some wine to make and some ham and
pea soup to get cracking. So I will be quite busy!!
Have a good w/e all, more on Monday.
Dave in Pudsey.
