Re: Peppers as perennials

I don't know about your area, but here in 8,I have great luck out of peppers.I don't eat
them, but, family and neighbors love them and they are trouble free, and last too long.I
usually make up the groung, and plant 6 of what ever kind,my wife and others want, like bell
,banana(hot and normal),and about 6 other kinds.They always,are loaded to the top,from
around April until,freeze,and I mean loaded,people can't believe the bushes,and even
though their in tomatoe cages, they still break the limbs.I only ,pass and weed, and redo
their feed once a year, very trouble free.I use very little commerical fertilizer, and put
1/2 regular shovel of cow manure on each side of the plant, and bank high, and cage, and when
feeding the other crops with Miricle Grow, pass and spray them.I have learned to only plant
in places,I don't want for spring or fall, because its tied up almost all year .This works
well for me,hope it helps others, sorta sick of peppers now,I imagine there is almost a
5gal. bucket of Banana's out there right now,and about 100 bells, and some hot
varieties,and they were picked today.Jim
