Hello everyone, 9-26-03
Does anyone have any advice on how to get tomato plants to produce more tomatoes??
I grew about 7 or 8 different varieties this year and only the sweet 100's and cherry tomato plants produced a decent amount of tomatoes.I used the best soil I could find from OSH garden supply and I also used Miracle Grow plant food on all plants as well. The "Celebrity" plant (which was the most disappointing) grew quite large but only 2 large tomatoes on it and stopped after that. The others didn't do much better...all the plants received enough sunlight and are still located on a patio in large pots.
Any advice on how to get them to produce more next time would be appreciated.
regards,
John,
Southern California

When we lived in Scotsdale, we had a winter when the temperatures never went
below about 38 degrees and the peppers and tomatoes continued to grow. I
don't know the zone but I am in zone 7 and they don't survive here except in
greenhouses.
