winter tomatoes

Last year here in southern calif on the coast, I had tomatoes growing year
round. I had red fruit in march from plants (early girl) that I set out in
october in my sunniest spot.

For this winter I have acquired two new varieties, Dona and Siberia which
supposedly have even lower chill flower set. The catalog says siberia will
set at 37 degrees F. We will see what happens. It rarely gets that cold
here. Last year was my first frost in 7 years and it was so slight it didnt
hurt my tomatoes at all.

Janet.
