Azelia

Last December I received a potted azelia, gloriously in bloom with
deep pink flowers.  I've kept it in the pot ever since, where it has
doubled in volume so far.

I don't know variety name or anything like that.  It came with one of
those uninformative tags of the sort titled 'caring for your azelia'
that provide no hard info, just tell you to water it now and then.

I'm wondering if it's likely to be winter hardy here in zone 6?  It
was given to me as flowers at my father's memorial service, so I'd
hate to loose it.

If I can plant it outside, how tall will it get?  What would it like
by way of sun exposure?
