RE: Privacy Hedge 2


One of the best Viburnums here for summer flower is Viburnum plicatum
'Watanabe': it flowers TWICE a year, in spring and late summer (!!!), and
it's a wonder covered in pure white, whit a very interesting plant shape
too... For its 'double flowering' I rate it above its more 'stylish'
brother Viburnum plicatum 'Mariesii'.But both first class shrubs... Other
very interesting Viburnums (don't know how hardy is) are Viburnum sargentii
'Onondaga' and Viburnum davidii (wonderful compact evergreen with metallic
blue fruits... but a bit prone to thrips over here!)
