I see!

Well, can't say I blame you, but have one more question (well, more than
one, actually)...Doesn't it twine up through the fence on it's own?  Or
does it twine and also try to go elsewhere?

I've had in mind getting one to go up this post that supports a beam going
around this "walled" garden.  That is, when I ever get about 40' of
drystone wall built and the bed done.  Anyway, would you say that it won't
do this, even if I give it a trellis?

Is this one more rampant than Sweet Autumn clematis?
