It is suggested by some literature that many species of Ribes have better
fruiting every 2-3 years. This means that there is a good possibility that
your plant has skipped a year. I have not determined yet whether Ribes is
self incompatible (this means that the plant may be monoecious but that it
won't pollinate itself. Personally, I think it is compatible with itself but
there is a possibility of it not being.
