Lonicera maackii, a beautiful shrub!?

Hello again!

This is the point of view in Sweden: Lonicera maackii is an exotic shrub
with beautiful white flowers. We have, I think, 2 specimens in the park
here at the university in Alnarp.
I tried to propagate it with hardwood cuttings this spring. Maybee I
should try seeds to.
I sorry to here Lonicera maackii beeing a problem in the states. And I will
be alert to selfsown Lonicera maackii, it might be invasive in Sweden to,
but I don´t think so. But Lonicera xylostium, growing wild in Sweden, is
a problem. It´s like a weed in gardens if you have one (like Sambucus
nigra). But this kinds of plants are easyly pulled up I think, haveing a
shallow rootsystem.
