Rhododendron
the subject is Rhodies
I finally purchased mine yesterday. the species is English Roseum.
Today I tackled the problem of planting it.
first off, I took a garden fork and worked the planting site up really
good, then removed the plant from the pot and just sat the plant on the
ground I had prepared, then I took a large nursery pot (plastic) the
one like you buy trees in (would you say 5 gal) and measured the pot
the Rhody came in and cut the bottom of the large pot off the same
height, filled in around the Rhody with pine straw, soil, and
compost, and watered very well and said a prayer.
what do you think? does it have a chance? let me know what you
think
the nursery has some tree peonies, I think that will be my next
project
