introduction

Some of you may know me from other lists as I am participate in a few. I am a botanist and horticulturist living here in Tucson AZ. In addition to my research I own a small plant nursery and grow many woody shrubs, trees, etc. in addition to other plants that are not woody. Any southwesterners out there????
I am interested in growing plants that are able to stand Tucson's hot and dry climate and want to add more of a palette to Tucson's currently pedestrian choices of landscape plants. There are many plants here that are way overused, as is common to many areas with difficult climates.
I would like to hook up with horticulturists in the greater SW. Some of you may be interested in the AZ plants listserver which includes discussion on plants of the greater SW USA and Northern Mexico.
	Look forward to discussion....
