I am also new to this mailing list. I live in Central Texas and I am very
interested in the native plants of this area -- especially plants that are
uncommon and/or endemic to Central Texas.
I have been planting a lot of plants on our ranch to add more diversity and
provide food, shelter and homes for wildlife. I also propagate quite a few
plants from seed.
If anyone is interested, here is a list of plants on our land:

Some of you may know me from other lists as I am participate in a few. I am
a botanist and horticulturist living here in Tucson AZ. In addition to my
research I own a small plant nursery and grow many woody shrubs, trees, etc.
in addition to other plants that are not woody. Any southwesterners out
there????
I am interested in growing plants that are able to stand Tucson's hot and
dry climate and want to add more of a palette to Tucson's currently
pedestrian choices of landscape plants. There are many plants here that are
way overused, as is common to many areas with difficult climates.
I would like to hook up with horticulturists in the greater SW. Some of you
may be interested in the AZ plants listserver which includes discussion on
plants of the greater SW USA and Northern Mexico.
Look forward to discussion....
